Taster day for school classes
Taster day for school classes

Sixth form courses or years 11 to 13 are invited to come to the University of Oldenburg for a day as part of the study and career choice preparation programme and experience university life at first hand.
We offer the following modules for organising your taster day.
1st introductory lecture "Studying at the University of Oldenburg"
The students are given an overview of the university's degree programmes as well as topics relevant to studying and decision-making:
- Academic appointments for a university degree programme
- Decision-making and orientation aids
- Programme structure and pathways
- Application modalities
Duration: 60 minutes
2. attendance of selected courses
Students can take part in selected regular teaching events in small groups of 3-5 people. They gain an insight into study content and experience how a lecture or seminar is held. They can compare their expectations of a degree programme with reality and have the opportunity to talk to students and lecturers.
You can find the taster course programme here.
3. final meeting
At the end of the taster day, we recommend a discussion with the Student Advisory Service. Here you can reflect on your impressions of the events and have any questions answered.
