The University of Oldenburg has been awarding a prize for outstanding achievements in teaching and supervision since 1998. The lecturers are nominated by students. The award comes with a prize purse. 

In the academic year 2018/19, the teaching award will be available in the following categories:

• Best course (subject/area of specialisation)
• Research-based learning

Courses from the 2018/19 winter semester and the 2019 summer semester can be nominated.

In addition, a prize is awarded in the category "Best Course Evaluation".
