Allocation of teaching assignments
Teaching assignments are only required for the independent performance of teaching duties. Courses can also be partially taken on by non-Habilitation holders without a teaching assignment if this is done under the direction of a professor.
For each lecturer who is not authorised to teach independently, but who is to offer courses independently, a proposal for the granting of a teaching assignment must be submitted via StudIP in parallel with the registration of the teaching offer via the respective Office, in accordance with the guidelines for the granting of teaching assignments (AM of 26.09.18).
Teaching assignments are checked with regard to the suitability of the lecturer, consistency with the course programme, the necessity of the teaching assignment or course for the course programme and the legal framework conditions. Applicants must also submit the following documents with their initial proposal for a teaching assignment:
- Staff form
- Personal data sheet (English)
- Copies of the university degree certificate, doctoral certificate and, if applicable, habilitation certificate
- Curriculum vitae
The proposals are submitted to the WiRe Study Group and the Study Commission of School II for approval. The application deadlines can be found on the website of the Study Commission. In order for the proposals to be forwarded to the Study Commission in time, they must be entered into the "Lecturer and Learning Officer Administration" in Stud-IP at least one day before the application deadline.
When the teaching assignment is awarded, an account with an email address is set up for access to the IT services, such as the StudIP learning management system, the university's W-LAN, the public PC rooms and your workstation is activated within the "w2kroot" domain.
The official declaration of remuneration for teaching assignments will be returned to the "Department Administration WiRe - Teaching Assignments" (P.O. Box 48) at the end of the semester.
