Sabine Baumann
Biography
Prof Dr Sabine Baumann is Professor of Digital Business at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR), Scientific Director of Production at OFFIS - Institute for Computing Science in Oldenburg, and Adjunct Professor of Industrial Engineering at Texas Tech University in the USA. She studied economics (Diplomkauffrau) as well as English and philosophy (M.A.) in Paderborn, Great Britain and the USA and received her doctorate from the University of Paderborn. Before returning to academia, she held various positions at Arvato Systems (Bertelsmann), most recently as Director of the Content Management Competence Centre.
Prof Baumann's research interests include digital business ecosystems and (value) networks in the media industry and in industrial manufacturing, as well as strategies and the development of business models in the context of digital transformation/Industry 4.0.
