Objectives

The graduate symposium aims at introducing different job perspectives in marine and climate sciences in their widest sense.
It focuses on career paths outside academia including for example jobs in industry, administration, consulting and journalism.

Programme

The programme includes 15-20 min lectures by invited professionals followed by 10 min for questions and discussion. Speakers are asked to speak about their job and about the career steps they took to get this position. Further time for discussion with the professionals is given during the coffee and lunch breaks. In addition, there are "round-table" discussions for groups with a limited number of 10 participants with 1-2 professionals for indepth discussions on specific topics.

The full programme is held in English.
