Women in Science and Industry 2021

The research training group 2226 “Chemical Bond Activation” invites you to participate in the online event Women in Science and Industry 2021.

Female speakers from different backgrounds will talk about their career in chemistry-related fields,  their research topics/their tasks and give tips to aspiring young scientists.

Participation is free. The event will take place online using Big Blue Button. To receive the link to the virtual room, please register.

Dr. Kathrin Füchsle

Patent Attorney, Hoffmann Eitle

  • studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich
  • obtained her PhD in Biophysics at the Goethe University Frankfurt
  • since 2000: Patent Attorney at Hoffmann Eitle
  • European Patent Attorney since 2003, member of the examination board for patent attorneys since 2013

Prof. Dr. Thisbe K. Lindhorst

Professor, Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry at University of Hamburg (1991)
  • 1992/1993: Postdoc as DFG fellowat University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada
  • since 2000 Full Professor of Organic and Biological Chemistry at Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel
  • many national and international awards and honors, e.g. IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Award (2017), Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), HonFRSC (2017)

Prof. Dr. Barbara Albert

Dr. Hildegard Nimmesgern

Dr. Maria Maragkou

Dr. Insa Prochnow-Sturm
