Nicolas Arndt
Research assistant & doctoral candidate
School I - School of Educational and Social Sciences
Institute of Educational Sciences
At the university since: 2005 (with a short interruption)
I am #UOL because...
... I was able to get to know the university from so many perspectives: As an apprentice IT specialist for system integration in what was then the Data Centre, as an employee in the Service Desk and Desktop Services of IT Services, as a student teacher with the subjects of technology and politics and finally as a research assistant in the BMBF-funded "D4MINT project" and doctoral candidate in the didactics of subject teaching.
What I like about my work...
...the opportunity to use my wide range of previous experience to support students in seminars or teachers in further training courses in integrating Computing Science content into their lessons.
A special moment for me at university was...
...the "excursion" through the university at the very beginning of my studies, where I realised how diverse the university is. I also have particularly fond memories of highlights such as organising the Christmas parties in the student body for technology during my studies or organising the EARLI Sig 11 conference 2021 in Oldenburg, which I was involved in as a research assistant. It was about the digital transformation of teacher education and the effective and profitable use of educational technologies in teaching practice.
