The Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pain Therapy participates in a wide range of national and international clinical studies.

We have our own study team, which supports the scientific projects and activities of our six scientific working groups. The integration of our clinic into the School of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Oldenburg enables us to collaborate with highly specialised scientists from other disciplines.

The aims of clinical studies are, for example, to test the efficacy and safety of drugs, forms of treatment and medical interventions. This involves addressing scientific questions and improving medical interventions.

Patient safety is of course the top priority for our study centre and for this reason, all members of the study group receive regular training in "good clinical practice".
