WordPress: Designing blogs
Blogs can be used, for example, to reflect on learning and research processes, to distribute and document tasks, for research purposes, to document the course of the event, to announce dates and/or to pass on news from the subject area. Participants must be informed in advance about who can read their posts and how they can protect their privacy. Blogs can potentially promote communication with lecturers, exchange between students and their willingness to engage with the course topic in more depth. You can link your course to WordPress by clicking on "More..." after selecting your course in Stud.IP and activating the WordPress Connector by ticking the box.
Good practice at the University of Oldenburg:
The Colportage/Literature seminar turned students on the German Studies BA degree programmes in Oldenburg and Münster into researchers of colportage literature, which was widespread in the 19th century, for which Christian Schmitt was awarded the 2021 Teaching Prize. The results were compiled by the students in a blog that is publicly accessible.
