New study place offer as part of the ERASMUS programme in Scotland

Students on environmental science degree programmes now have a new opportunity to study abroad in Europe: as part of the ERASMUS programme, a partnership has been agreed with Lews Castle College - University of the Highlands and Islands in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. The partnership, which also includes the possibility of teacher exchanges, was initiated by the Applied Geography and Environmental Planning working group. Lews Castle College is one of thirteen university locations of the newly founded Scottish network university, each of which is characterised by a very specific profile of the courses it offers. For students from Oldenburg,
the programmes in Stornoway, which focus on sustainable development, sustainability management and sustainable rural development, are of particular interest. Several Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes are offered here. In addition to students on the B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and the M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology, the programmes offered by the Scottish partner could potentially also appeal to students on the M.Sc. in Water and Coastal Management and the M.A. in Sustainability Economics and Management. Interested students can contact the ERASMUS representative at IBU, Prof Dr Ingo Mose, for further information. Bild Bild Bild
