In addition to meeting various stakeholders from the region, including the director of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the province of Salzburg, the students also went on several hikes in the national park area to familiarise themselves with its special landscape features.

Participants in the "Space and society" seminar visited Überseestadt in Bremen as part of the event and discussed issues relating to the revitalisation of the urban waterfront and sustainable urban development on site.
Another excursion was to the south-western outskirts of Bremen, where selected aspects of urban-rural change were examined in the municipality of Stuhr and the neighbouring Bremen district of Huchting.
