Linguistics offers the following courses for students with advanced knowledge and graduates:
Doctoral colloquium in linguistics
This colloquium is designed to be interdisciplinary. Doctoral candidates in German, English, Slavic and Dutch Studies present their doctoral theses at various stages of the development process: at the beginning, during the course and towards the end.
The time and place of the colloquium can be found in the course catalogue.
Doctoral seminar
In addition to the colloquium, there is a special seminar for doctoral candidates every semester. The programme depends on the wishes of the participants. With external lecturers, it tends to take the form of a block seminar; with Oldenburg lecturers, it traditionally takes the form of weekly sessions.
The time and location of the seminar can be found in the course catalogue.
Graphemic reading circle
A reading circle has been formed around the research focus 'Graphematics / Written Grammar'. Those interested and especially those who want to write their thesis - Bachelor, Master, Doctorate - in this area meet regularly to read and discuss academic texts together.

This is a cooperative degree programme between the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen. Thanks to the many participants from both universities, the programme offers students a very diverse range of courses.
