Our TuMpFs are back! These „Refreshers” sessions essentially cover the same material as the introductory sessions in the 3rd semester. This means they can be used by students, doctoral candidates, and other early-career researchers to review the material. In addition, there are further in-depth tutorials on a variety of topics.

In addition, the existing continuing education offerings will continue: 

EbM Quickies: Using abstracts from recent publications, this course reviews fundamental methodological aspects relevant to understanding the respective study, supplemented by sample exam questions on EBM topics. Several 90-minute seminars per semester. Basic knowledge of EBM is required. Every summer semester.

Besser suchen mit Pubmed: A self-guided learning session with videos is supplemented by a 90-minute exercise. Once per semester. Students should already have experience with PubMed. Every semester.

Student Peer Review: Using examples from the data analysis project, the abstract, introduction, methods, results, and discussion sections of a student’s thesis are discussed in 90-minute sessions to identify potential areas for further development and improvement. Every winter semester.

Methodology Seminar in Epidemiology and Biometrics

If you are interested in our continuing education courses as part of the doctoral program in Epidemiology and Biometrics, you are welcome to actively participate. All participants are expected to contribute to the organization of the methodology seminar.
