The Department for Study Affairs at Carl von Ossietzky University advises subjects on the introduction and accreditation of new degree programmes.

Accreditation is used to check defined minimum standards and compliance with framework requirements. All new BA/MA degree programmes must be accredited before they are established.

With the introduction of system accreditation, new degree programmes are also accredited with their own quality management system. Please contact the study structure planning department well in advance of the planned start of your degree programme.

Programme accreditation or accreditation according to the European Approach is provided for special (international) programmes with double degrees and joint degrees.
