Students in the teaching-learning lab

Would you like to implement your own practical projects in schools, educational institutions or in public spaces as part of your module and examination work? The Textile Teaching-Learning Lab offers you the infrastructure and materials to do so.

Workshop rooms

In consultation with your lecturers, you can invite learning groups to the workshops to try out and explore teaching units or activities and projects. Important: Please discuss the project with your lecturers at an early stage so that both time and safety aspects can be taken into account.

Transport and mobility

You can borrow two bicycles and a bicycle trailer from us to transport materials for your modules and examinations.

Tools and devices

Whether sewing machine, weaving frame or spinning wheel, you can also borrow and use some of the Institute's equipment and tools for your activities at school or in public spaces. Please plan your use in advance and discuss availability with us.

Rental of teaching materials

Textile ambulance

The Institute offers three Textile Ambulances for campaigns and projects in schools and public spaces. These are three bicycle trailers that can be converted into a mobile exhibition stand.

Media equipment

You can borrow tablets, photographic equipment and even animated film boxes from us for your projects. The School III office also has video recording equipment available for classroom research.
