This year, the Oldenburg hearing researchers have particularly good reason to celebrate, as 2011 has been an impressively successful year for the scientists and their director Prof Dr Dr Birger Kollmeier. This includes the award of the Lower Saxony Science Prize, the "Hearing4all" Cluster of Excellence application, which reached the final round, and the DFG funding of the "Individualised Hearing Acoustics" research group.
To mark the occasion, Matthias Echterhagen (Deputy Head of the Press Office at the University of Oldenburg) conducted an in-depth interview with Birger Kollmeier for the university's research magazine "Einblicke".
