The Forgotten - A New Musical

In the Strehsical Company's new, self-penned murder-mystery musical, seven different characters meet on an island isolated from the mainland in dark 1920s England.

As a student initiative, a musical collective was formed alongside the Musical Ensemble, which is also active beyond the event period. Since 2023, the Strehsical Company, consisting of 30 music-loving (music) students, has been active in Oldenburg University Theatre and the Institute of Music, writing its own musicals. Now it's back with a new project, bigger than ever!

In the Strehsical Company's new, self-written murder-mystery musical, seven different characters meet on an island isolated from the mainland in England in the dark 1920s. The organisation based on the island offers a sanctuary for the treatment of war-related trauma. But what is supposed to be a place of healing and forgetting eventually becomes a scene of murder! Staff or patients - who could have committed the murder? And what other secrets are hidden on this island that should (not) be forgotten?

With The Forgotten On es, the Strehsical Company is now enriching the large auditorium stage. Their new musical production is supported by a well-rehearsed ensemble, a ten-piece live band and high-quality lighting and sound technology. With the new musical, the collective combines the University Theatre and the Institute of Music, offering an interface for music and theatre that is not to be missed.

Musical at the Institute of Music - not to be missed!
