Uni Big Band Oldenburg
as session opener at Wilhelm13
Swing, modern jazz and Latin American music can be heard on Thursday, 16 April 2026, when the university big band takes to the stage at Wilhelm13. The performance under the direction of Christian Kappe starts at 8.00 pm. In the form of vocal and instrumental arrangements, titles by John Daversa, Bob Mintzer, Thad Jones and Dizzy Gillespie are among the highlights of the current concert programme.
The forgotten ones - A new musical
Murder-Mystery-Musical
After the "Checked In" musical, it's time to get serious: in the new, self-written musical by the Strehsical Company, seven different characters meet on an island isolated from the mainland in England in the dark 1920s. The organisation based on the island offers a sanctuary for the treatment of war-related trauma. But what is supposed to be a place of healing and forgetting eventually becomes a scene of murder! Staff or patients - who could have committed the murder? And what other secrets are hidden on this island that should (not) be forgotten?
Look forward to an exciting musical performed by a large ensemble and a ten-piece live band in the A11 auditorium!
