The motto of this year's Pedagogical Week is "Shaping change yourself - digital, inclusive, intercultural and language-sensitive". One of the highlights is the public opening lecture by educational researcher Hilbert Meyer.
The teachers' conference from 24 to 27 September will focus on digitalisation in schools, the implementation of inclusion and interculturality, including language sensitivity. The event is being organised by the Didactic Centre (diz) in co-operation with the Oldenburg Training Centre (OFZ). The programme covers all types of schools and is aimed at teachers, educational specialists, trainee teachers, students and anyone interested in education.
A public lecture will open the Pedagogical Week: On Monday, 24 September, the Oldenburg education researcher Prof. em. Dr Hilbert Meyer will speak at 4.00 pm in the lecture hall centre A14 (Uhlhornsweg 86) about current and future challenges of everyday school life and how they can be mastered. Specifically, he will talk about the increasing digitalisation of learning, the trend towards individually tailored and skills-oriented teaching and collegial collaboration in multi-professional teams. The three following specialist days are characterised by the main topics "digital & smart" (Tuesday), "inclusive in practice" (Wednesday) and "intercultural & language-sensitive" (Thursday). The programme will start at 9.00 a.m. with a keynote speech introducing the topic of the day. Afterwards, participants can choose from a varied programme: In 50 events, scientists and practitioners will present current innovations, new methods and best practice examples. The topics on offer range from raising awareness of fake news and multi-touch textbooks to language-sensitive teaching with digital media.
A large textbook exhibition and a newly introduced counselling service round off the offerings of the Pedagogical Week.
