"'Stroke' - New paths in rehabilitative care research" is the title of the interdisciplinary symposium organised by the Outpatient Clinic for ReHabilitation on Friday, 13 July (Library Hall, Haarentor Campus).

The symposium is aimed at employees of clinical and outpatient facilities who work with stroke patients and their relatives.

Speakers include doctors and scientists from universities, hospitals and rehabilitation centres from Oldenburg, Bochum and the partner university Towson (USA). They will address practical problems from a medical, social science and rehabilitation education perspective and present them for discussion, taking into account current developments in modern care research.

The "Stroke" clearing centre, which will be officially opened during the symposium, aims to make a central contribution to the networking and co-operation of existing care services in and around Oldenburg towards a holistic counselling service. "All those involved are aiming for co-operation with the future Scientific Centre for Health Services Research at the European Medical School (EMS)," explains Prof. Dr Gisela C. Schulze from the Outpatient Clinic for ReHabilitation.
