2. non-university co-operation partners
- Cultural Activities
Since 2004, a Dutch-speaking guest author has been invited every year during the summer semester. On this occasion, and also for other guest lectures, we collaborate with partners outside the university: with the Dutch Letterenfonds and the Flemish Fonds voor de Letteren, the Oldenburg Library Society, the Oldenburg Literature Office and the Carl von Ossietzky Bookshop in Oldenburg. - Exhibitions
in collaboration with the Oldenburg State Library, mostly in connection with courses in regional studies, which explore topics relating to the Netherlands through exhibits from the library’s historical collections. To date, there have been exhibitions on the themes of book printing (1991), the Peace of Westphalia (1998), Avant-garde in the North/North-West (2000, in co-operation with the University Library of Groningen), the Dutch East India Company (2002), the history of whaling (2007, in co-operation with Prof. Lourens Hacquebord, Archaeology, University of Groningen), and Salt and its Cultural History (2010, in co-operation with the Zoutmuseum Delden)
