Let your imagination run wild!
What was life like in Evenburg Castle in the olden days?
Did princesses dance there, knights fight, and parties take place?
Or was it all completely different?
It’s as simple as this:
- Sit down at the drawing table in the castle (1st floor)
- Draw your picture
- Ask your parents to scan the QR code on the back to enter and to fill in the consent form
- Pop your picture into the big picture box
- If you’d like: Take part in the prize draw and win some great book prizes!
Background: Why are we doing this?
I’d like to find out what children think about life in the past. Your picture will help me to explore the prior knowledge and ideas of primary school children! The pictures will be analysed at the University of Oldenburg – as part of the QuaSU (Source Work in General Studies) research project on historical learning in general studies. The results will then be used to develop new, exciting learning materials for general studies.
Important to know:
- Participation is voluntary
- There’s no right or wrong – your ideas matter!
- If your picture is to be used for research, you and your parents must give your consent
- All data will be treated confidentially
- To enter the prize draw, your parents will need to fill in a short form.
