Information for active participants (possible financial support & presentations)

Financial support for active participants

We have limited funds available for active participants without an affiliation or whose expenses cannot be reimbursed by their own institution. Please contact us (SLBI2022@uol.de) if you need financial assistance, and include an estimate of your travel and accommodation costs.

Practical information on oral talks and poster presentations

Oral talks

The length of the presentations will be 20 minutes (plus 10 minutes discussion). If you would like to use the presentation laptop provided, we kindly ask that you send us your presentation in advance by e-mail (slbi2022@uol.de) to avoid delays.

Posters

The presentation of the posters will take place in a poster session. The exact date of the poster session on Thursday can be found in the programme. The poster session is planned to be divided into even and odd numbers, so that presenters in the poster session will also have the opportunity, at least in part, to visit other posters. Poster contributions with even numbers will be presented from 15:00 to 16:00, poster contributions with odd numbers from 15:45 to 16:45. The assignment of contributions as even/odd will be made during on-site registration. You can hang up your posters immediately before the poster session. Necessary material will be provided.

Poster format: Posters should be designed in A0 portrait format (vertical page orientation) if possible. A smaller format (A2) and horizontal page orientation are acceptable but not recommended.

Language

Oral presentations (talks) should be given in German or English. Poster presentations can also be held in other languages. However, in order to enable scientific exchange for these contributions as well, we ask you to have a translation of the poster in English ready as a handout.
