Objective
The design of one's own research profile is particularly relevant for appointment and evaluation committees, but it also serves as orientation for academic staff who wish to gain qualifications and have their own career prospects in mind.
In the short workshop, participants will be given the opportunity to determine their individual position and prospection of their career as a researcher. They will receive suggestions on how to incorporate funding instruments into their profile development and understand the perspective of review and evaluation committees.
A subsequent individual coaching offer provides feedback on a possible third-party funding strategy and opens up new perspectives through an outside view.
Agenda
- Individual assessment & prospection: analysis of status quo and goals
- Typology of research funding: Overview of the basics of the German and European science system & further development of the scientific career
- Perspectives of others: Perspectives of reviewers and decision-makers
- Handout for outlining the individual research profile
- In a one-to-one meeting: Discussion of the individual research profile
