Our further education programme is published twice a year in six key areas:

In November 2023, a new certificate programme “Modern Office Management” will start for mid-level employees in offices and central administration.

The certificate programme will teach methods and techniques relating to communication, time- and self-management as well as customer focus and will provide information on university-related issues. There will also be an opportunity to exchange ideas and network.

The programme is aimed at anyone who has not yet taken part in a corresponding certificate programme. The maximum number of participants is 14.

The interuniversity professional development programme (HüW) supplements the University of Oldenburg’s in-house further education programmes and measures. For more information, see the HüW programme.

If you’d like to attend a HüW event, please fill out the registration form, get it signed by your supervisor and send it to the PEOE department. Your sending organisational unit will bear the costs.

Fees for external further education events which you attend with the university’s authorisation will not be paid directly by the University of Oldenburg. This also applies to courses of the interuniversity professional development programme.

For face-to-face events organised by external providers, please first pay the seminar fees yourself and then submit the invoice together with your application for reimbursement of an approved business trip. Further information can be found on the business trip information sheet.

For online events organised by external providers, please also pay the seminar fees yourself first and then submit the invoice with an application for reimbursement of expenses.

If your team or department have specific needs for professional training, we can help you to plan a suitable training course, make organizational arrangements and liaise with instructors.

We coordinate the network of professional training, organise trade fair appearances (job4u trade fair Oldenburg as well as trainee fairs organised by schools) and design, plan, organise and run events:
