Credits
The Examinations Office of the University of Oldenburg is responsible for transferring credits from previous periods of study or degree programmes. You can access the relevant website here: Recognition of study and examination achievements.
On this page you will find some information and forms to help you with the crediting of modules for the subjects Philosophy and Values and Norms.
Master's degree programme Philosophy / Master of Education Philosophy
Students who are studying both the Master's degree programme in Philosophy and the Master of Education in Philosophy can have the module phi520 credited for phi321 and phi530 for phi331. As the Master's modules have a higher number of credit points, crediting without conditions is only possible in this direction. Crediting the modules phi321 and phi331 for phi520 and phi530 is only possible with additional credits. The form for the certificate of these additional achievements can be found further down on this page.
The equivalence and crediting of further modules can be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Anna Plader for this.
Master of Education Philosophy / Master of Education Values and Norms
If both subjects are studied, modules that are included in both curricula only have to be taken once and are then credited directly for the other subject by the Examinations Office. You can find detailed information on the modules that can be credited on the FAQ page (question block 6, question 2).
Recognition of credits from other universities
If the examination credits earned at another university have a smaller number of credits than the corresponding Oldenburg module, the missing credits must be re-studied. The form for the certificate for these additional credits can be found further down on this page.
