Last July, two PPRE alumni, Prof. Gerd Heilscher (PPRE 1987-88) and Aakash Sharma (PPRE 2019-20), met up and talked about their PPRE experiences. 

Prof. Gerd Heilscher one of the first PPRE graduates. Aakash Sharma is a recent PPRE graduate and the founder of meteocontrol GmbH. Both met each other at the 25 year anniversary of meteocontrol, where Prof. Gerd Heilscher was invited amongst other energy related professionals.

They laughed about the big 33-year-difference between their graduations, but related through PPRE. They also talked a little about how technologies in the energy sector have changed over the past three decades and that the complete transition to renewables is highly dependent on the upcoming generation of young people stepping into the RE industry. 

It is always great to see how PPRE connects people, even long after graduating!
