Class of 1982. Married. After completing his Abitur at the Liebfrauenschule in Oldenburg, he studied law at the University of Bremen (First State Examination / Dipl.-Jur.) and at the University of Oldenburg (LL.M. – Master of Laws in Information Law).

Completed his legal training in the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court district, with placements at the Oldenburg Regional Court, the Oldenburg Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Legal Department of the City of Oldenburg and the chair of Public Commercial Law at the University of Oldenburg.

PhD (Dr.jur.) from the chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Economic Law, and Legal Informatics at the University of Oldenburg on the topic of ‘Company law requirements for risk management systems’ under the supervision of Prof. Dr Jürgen Taeger. Scholarship holder at the DFG TrustSoft Graduate School.

Part-time lecturer at the Lower Saxony Institute for Administrative and Civil Law.

Founding partner of the revision centre AssessorenRep, which offers preparatory courses for the Second State Examination.

Since January 2013, he has been practising as a qualified solicitor for CT • HAUNHORST • SCHMIDT Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

Member of the German Bar Association (DAV).
