A warm welcome!

What is it about? With this programme you will receive 50 analysis tasks on sentences in German by email. You determine the speed at which you practise by specifying when and how often you receive a task. The solutions provided give you the opportunity to compare your analyses. This allows you to practise and learn the structural analysis and annotation of sentences step by step. The programme is suitable for accompanying and in-depth reading of the Grundriss, but can also be used as part of syntax seminars. The grammar by Peter Eisenberg is fundamental:
Peter Eisenberg (2013): Grundriss der deutschen Grammatik. Volume 2: The sentence. 4th, updated and revised edition. Stuttgart, Weimar: J.B. Metzler. You can find some tips and hints for analysing in the annotation paper, which you can download at the bottom of this page. Good luck and enjoy solving the exercises!
