Current cluster generation
The following systems are currently available for high-performance computing (HPC) at the University of Oldenburg:
- the Multi-Purpose Compute (MPC) Cluster ROSA, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK) of Lower Saxony with a total of 91 computing nodes
- the STORM & MOUSE systems for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), funded by the Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank), the Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK) of Lower Saxony and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK)
The systems are housed centrally in the university's data centre and operated in cooperation with IT services.
