In addition to the cooperating hospitals, University Medicine Oldenburg cooperates with the renowned UMCG of the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. The corresponding cooperation agreement from 2012 on cooperation in the degree programme in human medicine was expanded in 2019 to include the topic of cooperation in research.

In addition, a comprehensive network of around 180 academic general practices and seven teaching hospitals is part of the School and additionally links University Medicine Oldenburg with inpatient and outpatient care in the region.
