The overall project Literature and Literary Theory of Slavic Modernism in a Cultural Context is divided into a series of sub-projects. It is characterised by the programmatic reciprocity of literary practice and literary theory, which has been unmistakable since modernism and has become decisive in postmodernism. On the one hand, against the tendency of deconstructivism towards relativisation and growing arbitrariness, the value orientation of postmodern culture is also insisted upon (albeit under the keyword "invalence") and, on the other hand, the intermedial and, above all, philosophical orientation of literature and its theory as well as its general cultural and intercultural embedding is appreciated.
