The accompanying course is offered in the form of a colloquium in which students deal with the professional fields of social scientists. On the one hand, the colloquium serves to provide orientation in the fields of activity that are of interest for social science internships and later career choices, and on the other hand it acts as a forum for clarifying all questions concerning the internship, the possibilities of crediting previous activities and the internship report.

The colloquium can be attended before, during or after the internship period. It is offered to Bachelor students every semester. A separate colloquium is held for Master's students in the summer semester; the colloquium in the winter semester is offered jointly for Bachelor's and Master's students.
