Save the Date

From 24 to 26 September 2026, the 36th Federal Congress of the German Society for Speech and Language Pathology will take place in Oldenburg!

In cooperation with the Chair of "Language and Communication and their Special Educational Support with Special Consideration of Inclusive Educational Processes" of Prof. Dr. Tanja Jungmann, the dgs regional group of Lower Saxony and the Federal Congress team, an ambitious programme is currently being prepared under the title

 

Language is what connects us...

in daycare centres, schools and academic appointments

 

is currently being developed. Contributions on the main topics can be submitted until 15 October 2025 in the following formats

November 2024

On 15 and 16 November 2024, the GISKID Interdisciplinary Conference on Language Development Disorders (ISES) took place in Halle an der Saale. In the session "Narration and Interaction", Tabea Testa presented results from her dissertation project entitled "Parent-based promotion of early narration and reading skills (ElternEuLe) - results of a feasibility study".

In the working group "Sustainable use of digital diagnostic tools", the team from the EuLe-F project contributed a presentation entitled "Attitudes towards the use of digital diagnostics in daycare centres - results from focus group interviews with educational professionals", followed by a discussion.

 

September 2024

From 26 to 28 September 2024, the 35th Federal Congress of the German Society for Speech and Language Therapy Education took place in Heidelberg, where the team was represented in terms of content.
On 27.09, Sarah-Theres Wandel and Lea Fichtmüller presented two posters at the congress entitled Digital process diagnostics with the EuLeApp© and adaptive promotion of early narrative and reading skills with the support map "The EuLe Island" as well as the applicability of the EuLeApp© for recording early literacy skills in first and second graders in language support classes.
On the following day, Prof. Dr Tanja Jungmann and Tabea Testa gave two presentations for the session on precursor skills in reading / writing / arithmetic. While Prof. Dr Tanja Jungmann dedicated her presentation to the early literacy profiles of children with and without language difficulties, Tabea Testa presented her dissertation project entitled Elternbasierte Förderung der frühen Erzähl- und Lesekompetenzen (ElternEuLe) - Konzeption und Durchführung einer elternbasierten Förderung.

September 2024

Dr. Marlene Meindl and Dr. Melike Yumus presented the results of the EuLe-F project at the final conference of the BMBF funding guideline MInkBi in Frankfurt am Main on September 11th, 2024. Their presentation was specifically dedicated to digitized process assessment and adaptive supporting of emergent literacy skills in elementary and primary education. They also allowed conference participants to gain an insight into the project, the EuLeApp© and the support materials during the gallery walk.

Prof. Dr. Tanja Jungmann and Dr. Melike Yumus participated in the 23rd European Conference on Literacy & 7th Panhellenic Literacy Conference in Crete from June 24-26, 2024. They presented the project in a talk on "Adaptive assessment and promotion of early literacy skills with a newly designed App”.

March 2024

On 15 March 2024, the hybrid kick-off event for the BMBF-funded event series "Attachment and Relationships in School Education" will take place for researchers in the qualification phase. This is a joint event organised by Dr Carina Hübner (University of Siegen, deputy professor in the ESE department at the University of Oldenburg from summer semester 2024) and Prof. Dr Tanja Jungmann. Workshops, practical discussions and a networking conference are part of the programme of the event series. Renowned speakers have been secured for the kick-off event (see programme).

The Speech and Language Therapy Day of the German Society for Speech and Language Therapy Education (dgs) of the Lower Saxony regional group took place on 24 February 2020(https://lg.dgs-ev.de/index.php?id=121&no_cache=1&tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=485&tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=1183).

Prof.'in Dr. Tanja Jungmann gave the opening lecture "Attachment and relationship as the basis of all (language) education and language support" and offered the workshop "I feel something you don't feel" - understanding pupils with ASD, ADHD and aggressive behaviour".

January 2024

On 17.01.2024, Prof. Dr Tanja Jungmann presented the BMBF-funded joint project EuLe-F entitled "Digitalised process diagnostics with the EuLeApp© and adaptive promotion of early literacy skills in the transition from daycare to school" at the PINA Colloquium at the University of Potsdam(https://www.pina-research.de/pina-kolloquien-2/).

October 2023

On 4 October 2023, Prof. Dr Tanja Jungmann introduced herself on the Instagram account sopaed.uol for the video series "Ask the Prof" and answered questions such as "What topic are you passionate about?" and "What do you particularly like about Oldenburg?". Click here to watch the video.

The 19th conference of the Educational Psychology Group took place at Kiel University from 18 to 20 September 2023(https://www.leibniz-ipn.de/de/das-ipn/aktuelles/aktuelle-meldungen/18-20-september-2023-fachgruppe-paedagogische-psychologie-tagt-in-kiel). Dr Christina Stuhr (University of Rostock) presented the first project results on "Digitalised process diagnostics and adaptive promotion of early narrative and reading skills in elementary and primary education" on behalf of the entire EuLe-F joint project team. Tabea Testa presented her doctoral project "Parent-based promotion of early narrative and reading skills".

Prof.in Jungmann gave a workshop on the "Quantitative research process using the example of the EuLe-F project" at the virtual graduate college of the German Society for Speech and Language Therapy Education - dgs QUALI meet.
