Handling X-ray and interference emitters
The commissioning of X-ray and interference sources generally requires notification or authorisation. Please contact us before putting an X-ray or interference source into operation. We will be happy to advise you and initiate the necessary notification or authorisation. Various safety-related monitoring measures are required for the handling of such devices (inspection during installation, regular checks every 5 years) as well as annual radiation protection training for users (in accordance with § 63 StrlSchV). These measures are organised and guaranteed by us.
At the University of Oldenburg, we have the following X-ray and interference sources, among others:
- Electron microscopes (SEM, TEM)
- Single crystal diffractometer and X-ray diffractometer
- X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS)
