Real laboratory 70 GW offshore wind

Object of Research

The research platform “Reallabor 70 GW Offshore Wind” is part of the research program “Transformation of the Lower Saxony Energy System (TEN.efzn)”. The ecological economics team works within the real-world laboratory in subproject I.2 “Designing the necessary participation processes”.

The sub-project aims at early communication and participation of relevant groups of actors in order to clarify preferences, identify conflicts and develop solutions. This is intended to promote social support and acceptance in society and to enable the collaborative development of innovative solutions and transformative strategies for the energy transition. Another research goal is to identify promoting and inhibiting factors for offshore wind energy expansion.
