Research
Since the beginnings of the discipline, which has established itself especially in the international context, research and theory building in Ecological Economics cultivates an understanding as a transdisciplinary science of sustainability.
The research subject of Ecological Economics is, in a wider sense, constituted by the interactions between natural and economic systems. More specifically, concepts for examining these interrelations, a conceptual understanding of sustainability and solutions to achieve it are sought for.
