Background of the project

Like many hospitals worldwide, the shortage of nurses is also a great challenge for hospitals in the Northern Dutch-German cross-border region, with potentially dire consequences for patient care. Therefore, hospitals need to invest in healthy workplaces that contribute to the sustained employment of nurses throughout their careers. The aim of the project is to examine how hospitals in the order region deal with nurse shortages and to disucss possible strategies that mitigate the effect of nurse shortages.
