[October 2020] Reminder: The paperwork for stay abroad credit should be submitted via the Stud.IP course "3.02.086 Organisation and Supervision of Compulsory Stay Abroad [Anglistik/Amerikanistik]". Click on the tab "Auslandsaufenthalt - Anrechnung" and follow the instructions!

To gain credit points¹ in Oldenburg for academic courses completed in another country, you need the following documents:

• An academic transcript of records from the international university. You will need the original as a separate PDF file to your other documents, as we may need to attach the file to different sets of credit documents. This is especially the case if you want to have partial modules recognised, or modules for two different degree programmes (BA + MEd).

• Course outlines, syllabi and completed work. Please upload as much information as you have, so we can work out which courses are equivalent. We cannot give credit based on a course code and a title! (If you studied in the UK or Australia, a list of the grading standards from the university is also helpful, as each one is different.)

• Official or non-binding learning agreement (if available).

• The relevant credit transfer forms (click the "after your stay" link) – you will need either:
  • Bachelor: Antrag auf Anrechnung von Prüfungsleistungen (cover sheet) + Anrechnung - Zwei-Fächer Bachelor Anglistik (BA) (Anlage)
  • MEd / MA: Antrag auf Anrechnung von Prüfungsleistungen - Blankoformular (MA/MEd)

⇒ If you haven't already done so, you will then need to sign up to the Stud.IP course "3.02.086 Organisation and Supervision of Compulsory Stay Abroad [Anglistik/Amerikanistik]" to start the credit transfer process.

Click on the tab "Auslandsaufenthalt - Anrechnung" and follow the instructions! Note that this will require posting information about your situation in the form. Please read the guidance notes carefully.

Please consult the departmental advisors first rather than approaching the Prüfungsamt for your credits directly!
