Sample matrix: Ground powder (sediments, soils, rocks)

Sample preservation: pressed powder pellets or fused glass beads

The AAS primarily serves as a teaching device for the BSc/MSc programs Chemistry and Environmental Analytics. When not used for teaching, the instrument is available to measure ppm-level K, Cu and Fe in freshwater samples and acid-digested sediments.
