Interprofessional teaching
Interprofessional teaching
School VI Medicine and Health Sciences actively shapes the healthcare network in the region. This includes targeted cooperation with other educational institutions with the aim of implementing a cross-degree programme curriculum. This enables a special learning and teaching culture that prepares students for academic appointments in the interprofessional field.
The interprofessional curriculum is based on the national curricular recommendations (NKLM, Masterplan 2020), the international frameworks for interprofessional education (Interprofessional Education, IPE) and interprofessional collaborative practice (Interprofessional Collaborative Practice, IPCP) and the specific needs of the region.
Interprofessional teaching requires an intensive exchange with other educational programmes. In academic years 1-3, the primary focus is on exploring professional fields and developing a professional identity. Years 4-6 focus on practice-based interprofessional teaching in simulations, skills training or interprofessional practical assignments. The events are developed and implemented across professions. They focus on common areas of expertise and training content. The focus is on
- Values and ethics for interprofessional practice
- Role and responsibility
- Interprofessional communication
- Team and teamwork
