Study in Groningen
Study in Groningen
In the study programme Human Medicine, the aim is to promote European cooperation in medical education through cooperation with Groningen. Both faculties had coordinated their curricula in the founding phase and mutually recognise study modules as equivalent. 20 students from Oldenburg can study one semester at the partner university in Groningen each year with Erasmus+ funding.
Oldenburg students can spend a total of between six months and two years of their studies in Groningen. There are various options for this, so that students can take advantage of flexibility in planning their Groningen exchange. For example, they can study in the Groningen Bachelor curriculum in the third year, do their research there in the fourth or fifth year, or complete parts of their block internships or practical year in Groningen. For all these options, the respective number of places is limited.
Information events on the Groningen stay are held every year in November/December for the second year of study.
