Guided Tours
We have already organized several guided tours through the observatory for various events. There was, for example, a series of talks and tours on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the general theory of relativity. Also, the team of the observatory at the University of Oldenburg joins events like “Papa Zeit”.
During the winter of 2017/2018 there was a very successfull cooperation with the Schlaues Haus Oldenburg to show the observatory to small interested groups and to share some interesting Astronomy research. Additional events in this series will be announced here.
If you have any questions regarding guided tours, feel free to contact us.
Current information and details about the observatory, you can find here.
Visit to the Tiny Observatory
As part of the Tiny Observatory joint project and the associated projects, there are regular opportunities to visit this mobile observatory at various locations on the East Frisian peninsula and learn more about our universe and the night sky.
For more information and an overview of the current dates, please visit the website of our cooperation partner Ländliche Erwachsenenbildung in Niedersachen e.V. (LEB) or contact the project coordinator directly at the e-mail address
Co-operations
Many of our guided tours are organised and conducted in collaboration with the members of the Astro-AG and the members of the Wilhelmshaven-Friesland Astronomical Society.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers whose hard work and enthusiasm make these tours possible.
