Science meets school: participation and co-design

Thinking, having a say, shaping:
Science meets school brings social issues to life for pupils in year 6 - interactively, comprehensibly and close to everyday life.

Science meets school brings young people into contact with current social issues - in an understandable, realistic and dialogue-oriented way. Under the motto "Our society - participation, co-determination and living together" this year's event is dedicated to central topics that characterise growing up and living together today.

The focus is on political education, participation and co-determination, sustainability, economic contexts, family and society as well as the reflective use of digital media and social media. In age-appropriate workshops, pupils in years 8 and 9 actively explore these topics, discuss perspectives and develop a better understanding of their role in a democratic and diverse society.

Participants can expect a varied programme with a common introductory impulse, two workshop rounds with several offers and a concluding keynote speech that bundles the content and encourages further discussion.

Who is the event aimed at?

The event is aimed at pupils in years 8 and 9. Registration is via the school.
