At the event ‘Everything’s Upside Down – When Emotions Take the Wheel’, the Institute’s outpatient clinic invites children aged 10 to 12 to explore emotions, coping strategies and personal strengths in a playful way. In small groups, the children explore four stations, each with a different theme, with each station focusing on a specific emotion.
The aim of the event is to explain mental health in a way that is easy to understand and relevant to everyday life, to reduce reservations about psychotherapy, and to encourage a respectful and positive approach to dealing with feelings.
Each class takes part in a programme lasting approximately 90 minutes, which consists of three parts:
- Joint introduction (approx. 15 minutes)
- Themed rooms (60 minutes in total): four interactive stations, each lasting 15 minutes
- Joint conclusion (approx. 15 minutes)
The event is aimed at a total of three school classes in Years 5 and 6. Bookings can be made for the following dates:
- Class 1: 09:00 – 10:30
- School class 2: 10.30 am – 12.00 pm
- School class 3: 12.00 – 1.30 pm
