In WP 2.1 methane fluxes and nitrous oxide fluxes will be measured for the core plots in the study site at the North Sea biweekly. Soil carbon stocks will be determined once for all plots. Carbon sequestration potential will be estimated by statistical functions describing the relationship between carbon budget and soil hydrology as well as land-use.
