Open Science
As the Digitalised Energy Systems Department, we are committed to transparent and open science – Open Science – which makes the findings of energy research freely available. This opens up new opportunities for science, society and industry in the use of scientific findings. Scientific methods, data and publications should be shared in order to improve the quality of research. In doing so, we follow the DFG’s guidelines on good scientific practice. We adhere to the Open Science Declaration of the Zukunftslabor Energie for all our research projects.
We publish our source code for simulations as open source wherever possible. Our collection of research software can be found on GitLab and GitHub at gitlab.com/digitalized-energy-systems and github.com/Digitalized-Energy-Systems.
Our publications are also largely published as Open Access and can therefore be viewed by everyone.
To improve transparent research, we are working on various aspects of Open Science across different projects.
- In NFDI4Energy, we are improving data availability and quality in energy research.
- As part of ConnOSS, we are working on an infrastructure to improve the management, visibility and reuse of research software
