Why a lending station?
Why a lending station?
Why?
Post-pandemic, the need for further flexibilisation of time and place during studies has increased.
As a face-to-face university, many seminar formats are returning to the physical location of the seminar room despite digitalisation, which is good because it means we can meet again. At the same time, even before the pandemic and during it, there were always cases of care, disability and exclusion that made it difficult to participate in presence.
Adaptive courses are one possible response to the heterogeneous situation that is being developed as part of the participate project. Teachers can therefore decide how they want to teach on site and online at the same time.
As the equipment situation is still different and the needs are different, we have decided to address heterogeneity across status groups as part of the participate project, focussing primarily on easing communication between administration, teaching staff and students.
The Packstation principle is certainly familiar to some from the shipping industry and with the implementation of the CampusCard it is therefore possible to store devices such as laptops, tablets, cables, etc. independently of time and person.
For this purpose, a cabinet solution is to be created from which the devices can be borrowed easily and independently. This should be easily accessible online via the browser and thus streamline and flexibilise teaching and related administrative processes.
As a service, this solution clearly focuses on teaching staff, as they should need less time for administrative processes and be able to invest this time in favour of good teaching and still have the flexibility to have the appropriate devices available for creative, digital work.
On the subpages you will find information on where the service will be provided and how reservations can be made, for example.
