Diversity Day
Diversity Day
The University of Oldenburg is a signatory to the German initiative Diversity Charter and participates in the annual nationwide Diversity Day. In doing so, it publicises the diversity in the university's working and study environment and the commitment to diversity of various departments and individuals.
Diversity Day 2026
Online workshop „Administration and Democracy – Dealing confidently with Neutrality and Democratic Responsibility”
with Henrike Arlt and Doreen Denstädt (Association ‚Administration for Democracy’, in German Verwaltung für Demokratie e.V.)
Democracy is increasingly under pressure, and universities are also being targeted by authoritarian tendencies. In our daily work, we repeatedly encounter situations in which questions of neutrality, position and democratic responsibility cannot be clearly answered. This is precisely where the workshop comes in: it provides space to pause, reflect on personal experiences, and jointly develop new perspectives. The focus is on examining your own work context.
When: Tuesday, 2 June, 9am-12pm
Where: online (link will be sent after registration)
Registration at: (max. 30 participants)
The workshop is aimed in particular at employees from administration and research support units.
Please note that the event will be held in German.
