Career goal teaching profession
To all Bachelor's students who are aiming to become teachers!
According to the BPO, students of the Bachelor of German Studies are strongly recommended to study certain modules from the area of specialisation in the field of pedagogy/psychology and the compulsory elective area, as these are mandatory for the transition from the Bachelor's to the Master's degree programme in Teacher Education.
The enrolment modalities are explained again here:
For students with the M.Ed. G, M.Ed. HR, M.Ed. Sopäd and M.Ed. Gym degree programmes
- PB 6, PB 7, PB 9 are compulsory.
- A total of two modules must be selected from PB 10 - PB 15. One of the modules PB 10 - 15 can be replaced by one of the two transdisciplinary modules, PB 4 or PB 5 or by the module PB 98 Low German or PB 99 Low German. PB 4 "Transdisciplinary Module: Culture and Language I" is only offered in the winter semester, PB 5 "Transdisciplinary Module "Culture and Language 2" only in the summer semester. Students who have not taken PB 4 in the winter semester can still attend PB 5 in the summer semester, i.e. PB 4 is not a prerequisite for studying PB 5.
Since winter semester 18/19, the module pb331 "Key competences in linguistics and cultural studies and their professional fields" can also be selected at this point.
The information in Annex 3b of the BPO "PB for students with the professional goal of becoming a teacher" in the version applicable to you is decisive!
For students with the M.Ed. programme objective (Wipaed, formerly BBS) the following applies
- Please note: Students with the M.Ed. (Wipaed) programme objective cannot be credited with a transdisciplinary module, module PB 98 or PB 99 Low German or module pb331!
- You must complete the PB modules listed in Annex 3b of the BPO "PB für Studierende mit dem Berufsziel Lehramt" in the version applicable to you!
